Artist Statement

My photography focuses on the captivating beauty of our world, from the grandest landscapes to the unnoticed details in everyday life. Having spent my childhood in mostly flat, homogeneous surroundings, I was originally inspired by nature photography in books and magazines. Years later, I still marvel at the beauty of our world, whether it is a stunning waterfall or a perfect rose. In addition to nature photography, my work includes images of decaying buildings. Although this seems almost contradictory to nature photography, these images also focus on surroundings that routinely go unnoticed. Hopefully, my images will inspire others to explore the world or at least to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.
