Artist Statement
Capturing the inner essence of my subject inspires my work. Light and its effects on the oil portrait are my most important elements of my painting. Being in the moment to enjoy the exploration and process guide me. Seventeen, eighteen, and nineteen century Flemish, French, and Spanish artists are my influences.
