Artist Statement

Art is a visual language that expresses emotions and responses to personal experience and collective culture. Art making can be a process of discovery of oneself in relation to life including what is seen, what one would like to see or investigate and possibly making a statement. Art should attract and transmit both ideas and emotions to the viewer. I hope not only for an esthetically satisfactory piece but for comprehension by others, and participation in discourse regarding content etc.
