Artist Statement

My pottery is influenced by the interplay of my personal experiences, my relationship with the environment and the connection I create with the viewer. I design functional forms that not only enhance everyday life but also carry the essence of rhythms, textures and colors that surround me. The marks I leave on the clay and colors I apply are expressions of my environment. Each piece I craft is a tangled reflection of the natural world, connection people to both the art and the artist.
