Artist Statement

My artistic journey has been constantly changing, and I am still in the process of finding my voice as an artist. I have been practicing art for five years, beginning with oil pastels, which I worked with for four years in weekly classes under an instructor. During this time, I also experimented with other ways of art such as painting and colored pencil. Eventually, I transitioned to a new instructor and began to focus more seriously on painting. Through this shift, watercolor emerged as the medium that stood out to me most. The special movement of the paint on paper, the balance between control and freedom achieved through a light touch of the brush, and the ability to create a wide range of colors with ease made this medium stand out to me. Most importantly, watercolor allows me to genuinely enjoy the process of creating art. Currently, I am concentrating on watercolor, continually learning new techniques and approaches with each class.
