Artist Statement

I am a working artist and retired academic who has photographed 33 Mardi Gras's since 1990. For the first 14 years I shot exclusively with film and since then a mix of film and digital. My work in New Orleans and Louisiana can be found in the Louisiana State Museum, the Ogden Museum, The Historic New Orleans Collection to mention a few. I grew up in New England and find New Orleans and Mardi Gras to be a unique and other worldly place like no other. This year I will be on the streets once again for Mardi Gras #34.
