Artist Statement

My work explores the emotional connection between language, memory, and identity through contemporary Arabic calligraphy and mixed media painting. I’m drawn to the feeling words can carry beyond their literal meaning — as movement, rhythm, and emotion. Through my work, I try to transform Arabic letters into visual experiences that can be felt even before they are read.

I create in layers, adding, blending, and sometimes changing direction along the way. Some pieces evolve slowly over weeks, while others come together more instinctively. Each series carries its own mood and story.
