Artist Statement

Growing up in Norway's serene natural landscapes and starting a new life in Detroit's industrial vibrancy deeply informs my oil paintings. I explore the tension between these worlds, capturing my longing for the familiar, and the thrill of new experiences. Through vibrant, often chaotic compositions, I express both outer and inner transitions, reflecting on movement, change, and discovery.
