Artist Statement

As a watercolor artist living in the woods along the shores of Lake Michigan, I am captivated by the SPETACULAR array of light, wind and weather that can display to us all. I try to catch it on paper. I choose watercolor for it’s transparency of color that appears as I lay wash after wash on the paper. I am inspired by Claude Monet and his mastery of color. My work seeks to capture the ever-changing moods of nature around me.
