Artist Statement

I create digital collage art using photographs I’ve taken, layering familiar elements of nature in unfamiliar ways. Through heightened color, surreal pairings, and a sense of play, I’m interested in gently interrupting the way we usually look at the world.
My work comes from a desire to remind people that nature is not ordinary it’s just often overlooked. By introducing whimsy and dreamlike shifts in perspective, I invite viewers to slow down and notice the quiet magic that surrounds them every day. What we see as mundane can become sacred again when we allow ourselves to truly look.
These pieces are meant to feel welcoming rather than distant, imaginative rather than abstract. They are invitations to wonder, to presence, and to remembering that we belong to the natural world, not separate from it.
