Artist Statement

Artist statement: The heart of my work stems from formal drawing techniques. In paintings, I create brushstrokes that follow drawn marks. I then follow traditional impressionist color palettes to create a post impressionist artwork that brings my drawings to life within the medium of a painting. I often focus on scenes and themes that are uplifting as I hope my work will invoke a sense of joy or excitement about life.
