Artist Statement

What interests me is the process of layering materials to achieve a rich texture and depth on the surface of the canvas. From a distance, you will see the the layers showing through one another and the depth of the materials. My paintings are inspired by the beauty, quite and sometimes the explosiveness of space and the atmosphere. Planets, stars, sky, globes and spheres are an important part of my work.
