Artist Statement

Christina Body Fine Art
Urban landscape artist, Christina Body, is known for her unusual viewpoints, expressive and vibrant scenes of Chicago. Christina’s work is inspired by the energy and ephemeral qualities of life in the city juxtaposed by large structural objects and architectural shapes that make an urban environment uniquely its own.
Christina’s award-winning studio and plein air paintings have earned her participation in prestigious national juried exhibitions, national plein air painting competitions, museum shows, top awards, scholarships, and inclusion in multiple private and corporate art collections, including Northwestern Memorial Hospital, The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and for a limited time, in The White House.
Christina has been featured in multiple art publications including, ‘Featured Artist’ in Plein Air Magazine, 'Artist to Watch’ in Southwest Art Magazine, ‘Featured Artist’ in LA Art Guide and in American Artist Magazine.
Christina is Signature Member of American Women Artists, a member of Oil Painters of America, International Plein Air Painters, The Palette and Chisel Academy and a founding member of the Plein Air Painters of Chicago. Represented by three galleries and online at www.christinabody.com.
