Artist Statement
My artistic journey really began with studying classical piano most of my life. Creating visual art however, began in 2004 when I started painting, drawing, and working with ceramics. I have an emotional passion that translates very well into painting intuitively. Now, I mostly paint with acrylic or oil. I do mostly expressionist figures or portraits. Through my work I shine the light on an emotional, spiritual or cultural truth as I experience it. I am a storyteller so my figures and portraits are usually from my imagination and tell an emotional story of their own. It is my hope that the viewer can make a meaningful connection with the stories they tell.
