Artist Statement

My work combines personal narratives with the natural world, exploring themes of myth, memory and legacy, influenced by the light and color of my native New England land and seascape.

There is an entire universe contained in the sea's gifts, deposited by the ebb and flow of the tides. From the luminous yellow Jingle shells (my favorites), to the smooth beach pebbles of Connecticut granite, a bouquet of seaweeds, fragments of oysters, and arched plumes of ever circling seagulls, every tideline tells a new story as it changes with each wave.
