Artist Statement

I make art for the challenge and the enjoyment of the activity. I also like to share something with others.
My art is in the painterly vein. Brushwork, color, shape, value are all considerations. Currently, I follow some artists who live in England on Instagram. But I have my own approach to these elements of painting from life.
Sometimes I step back to recurring themes or props. The cup or teacup, flowers, shoes, etc. References to daily life.
