Artist Statement

Candy is a powerful generator of memories and feelings. The role it plays in our lives is infinite...a source of pleasure...a battle of temptation...a celebration. It can delight, satisfy or disappoint. The shape/color/wrappings of candy can evoke a smell or taste. Recalling past Halloweens is so strong, I can taste Candy Corn before I open the package. Everyone has a favorite candy, and probably a story associated with it. Just ask a friend.
