Artist Statement

Having grown up in an orange orchard, the daughter and granddaughter of farmers and beekeepers, I have always been keenly aware of weather and its impact on the natural world. My current work reflects that which is going on around me including droughts, floods, and fires. It seems appropriate to use beeswax and heat in that expression.
