Artist Statement

Hello! My name is Josh Esparza. I'm the owner of Cosmic Kettle Corn. Cosmic Kettle Corn is a mobile food vending outfit that has been operating for several years. I've vended freshly popped kettle corn at events from Cape May to Gettysburg, made on site in a compact 8'x12' trailer. My sweet and salty kettle corn, prepared in a large carbon-steel kettle, is some of the finest you'll have had the pleasure to taste. I make it with only four simple ingredients - light, butterfly popping corn, corn oil, salt, and cane sugar. The sugar is melted in the kettle, which gives the corn a crunchy, sweet crust - it isn't simply dusted on after popping.
