Artist Statement

I am a photographer creating representational, abstract, and conceptual work. My early photography focused on the western United States, shaped by years of traveling to national parks and public lands.

After moving from California to New Jersey, just outside New York City, my work expanded to include the urban environment. Architecture, infrastructure, light, and motion introduced new structure and energy into the images.

Alongside this observational work, I also pursue conceptual projects in which the photograph becomes a way to explore an idea rather than simply describe a place.
