Laura Spiegel

Artist Statement

Laura Spiegel is an up and coming Stained Glass Artist located in Wake Forest North Carolina. She loves working with glass and tends to lean into creating pieces based in pop culture as well as her own unique designs. The ability to utilize both texture, varying degrees of opacity and colors of every hue make each piece unique and one of a kind. From homages to beloved fandoms to beautiful nature inspired pieces and personalized memorial or keepsake pieces this medium is incredibly versatile. Her favorite part of the (very involved) process of creating each stained glass piece is the soldering. Melting metal and watching it flow across the glass creating form and stability brings her an enormous sense of peace and tranquility. The end result always feels like magic.
