Artist Statement

I am a contemporary Georgian artist working across a variety of media, including oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, and drawing. For me, art is a way of exploring the visible world as well as the emotions, memories, and ideas that lie beneath its surface.

My work is inspired by nature, the sea, music, cultural heritage, and the human experience. I am particularly interested in themes of freedom, spirituality, time, memory, and the relationship between people and the world around them. Many of my paintings combine reality with symbolism, allowing familiar subjects to become metaphors for deeper emotional or philosophical questions.

Color plays a central role in my artistic practice. I use it not only to describe forms, but also to create atmosphere, movement, and emotional resonance. Depending on the subject, my work may range from figurative and narrative compositions to more expressive or semi-abstract visual language.

I am fascinated by the way art can communicate beyond words. Whether I am painting a landscape, a city scene, a symbolic journey at sea, or an imagined world, I seek to create works that invite reflection and personal interpretation. Rather than offering fixed meanings, I hope my paintings encourage viewers to bring their own experiences and emotions into the work.

Through different techniques and materials, I continue to explore the connections between the personal and the universal, the real and the symbolic, creating images that speak to both memory and imagination.
