Artist Statement

My work is primarily an investigation into the Total Art Experience that occurs between Artist, Viewer and Painted Canvas. It forgoes representation of any object or experience, preferring to point to manifestation of "Presence" with the Artist, as transmitting Vessel be it forlorn or fortunate, enters into a meditative experience and state, whereby the painting functions as a reflecting mirror of this "Presence". This allows the Viewer to enter and experience a meditative condition parallel to the experience that the Artist manifested while discovering the painting. It opens the door to infinite possibilities experientially. Every painting is a fresh and new entry to this unique State of Being and not repeatable as 'IT' is 'discovered' within the emerging Painting-Viewer-Artistmaker relationship and incapable of imitation even by the Artist himself: a true work of the Imagination beyond usual projected visual, or social fantasy.
