Artist Statement

"I am a self-taught artist working primarily with graphite and charcoal. Over the past two years, I have focused on mastering contrast and the interaction of light and shadow to bring depth and emotion to my portraits. My work is driven by themes of silence, memory, and the often-unseen lives of women. I believe the eyes are the most honest messengers of the soul, and in every portrait, I try to let them speak—of pain, resilience, loss, and quiet hope. 'The Silent Lineage' is the first piece in an ongoing series that explores the untold stories of women who have been forgotten or overlooked. Through my art, I aim to give voice to the emotions that are rarely named but deeply felt.
