Artist Statement

I am a photographer who turns everyday moments into visual poetry. From storm fronts over distant mountains and waves breaking at the shore, to city freeways at night, carnival wheels, and quiet gestures between friends, my work explores the line where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Light is my primary collaborator. Whether I’m tracing the curve of a single leaf, the shimmer of a swan on dark water, or the hard edges of metal and glass, I use light, shadow, and line to reveal structure, emotion, and rhythm. Over the years, this has led me toward a language that moves easily between realism and abstraction—where a wave can become pure texture, a staircase becomes geometry, and grass becomes a field of color and motion.

At the heart of my practice is curiosity and a deep respect for the world as it is. My images invite viewers to slow down, look closer, and find beauty in the familiar—one moment, one frame, one slant of light at a time.
