Artist Statement
I see art as inroads to wonder and wordlessness, and as a sensibility — a way of thinking, musing, organizing, and conceptualizing. Art is unity in disunity and harmony in chaos. It is where dissimilar figures and ideas are not shy about showing off their similarities.
I believe art does not leave anyone out. For some people, art may find itself disguised as a hobby — a temporary respite from routine or convention. A soft joy. A pleasure that revives the spirit. For others, art may coalesce around a single passion, driving its solitary focus toward a lifestyle or career.
We are always — or sometimes — artists. The world re-creates itself by the minute, and so we are within the creativity that is within us. We create as we are created, and so we are the proof of our own existence.
