Artist Statement
Since my parttime retirement in 2021, I have been seriously engaged in painting. I have been able to set up a studio at home. In 2025, I completed my studies in academic drawing and painting at the Vrije Academie Nunspeet (Netherlands).
I mainly paint portraits of people and trees. In each work, I strive to convey a sense of calm and contentment, sometimes with a touch of mysticism.
