Artist Statement

Carolyn Crow is a San Antonio painter and multi-media Artist. She is currently receiving her BA degree in Art at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

While attending the UTSA School of Art, Carolyn developed a passion for still life and photography. During this time, her work, which utilized thrifted photography as found objects, explored ideas of memory and severed connections. Throughout her time in college, her work was featured in several juried shows and group exhibitions. These experiences taught her about the logistics of hanging and preparing work for formal settings. After graduating, she will pursue a master's degree in museum studies and hopes to work as a curator.
