Artist Statement

My work is highly narrative and aims to combine realistic painting techniques with surrealistic subject matter. My favorite thing to explore through painting is the human experience. I spent the first 15 years of my adult life raising a family, received a BA from the University of Houston, and now reside in Salt Lake City where I work in public and studio art and in development for KRCL 90.9 Community Radio.
