Artist Statement

Color, shape, form, texture, versatility and challenge, glass offers an infinite number of ways for me to express myself. Whether lampworking delicate figurines and perfume bottles at the torch, creating sun catchers and hanging installations, designing colorful service ware in the form of platters, dishes or sushi sets to be fired in the kiln, working with this medium is always satisfying. Glass somehow, never lets me down; although it is usually predictable, it still lends itself to free expression. At this point, after over 20 years, it is part of who I am. It is simply what I do. I work with glass.
