Artist Statement

Growing up my Poppop worked his magic with a sewing machine at Super Auto Service. My Bubby was a wizard with her hands, sewing tablecloths, doing needlepoint, and crocheting. I was enchanted. Both cast a spell, and I have been creating ever since. My love for design continued in college where I studied fashion at Moore College of Art.

Chainstitching combines their crafts and mine, using a hand crank to lead stitches one at a time.
