Artist Statement

I am a ceramic artist born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. My work references historical ceramic designs, and combines traditional Chinese motifs and symbolic imagery with personal narrative. Themes in my work center around transformation, heritage, and myth.
I have been a teaching artist for eight years, and dedication to the New York and Brooklyn communities are important to me.
