Artist Statement

My name is Dianelis, long for Dia, and I work primarily in ceramics. I create sculptural pieces that represent moments from my life, using clay as a way to capture memory and emotion. My work is inspired by the people and cultures that shape me, including my friends, family, and my Cuban heritage. Through these forms, I aim to preserve personal experiences while inviting viewers to reflect on their own relationships and histories.
