Anna Saginashvili

Artist Statement

I am Anna Saginasvhili, a ceramicist and sculptor currently pursuing my Art and Design degree at Alfred University. My work draws from personal experiences and an ongoing fascination with the blurred boundaries between humanity, nature, and imagined forms.
Through sculptures and ceramic forms, I seek to embody the essence of mood and instinct in creatures that challenge conventional boundaries. My work reflects my own journey of understanding identity, motherhood, and the roles we play within different environments. These figures inhabit realms where emotion and instinct intertwine, and where surroundings influence—but never fully define—who or what we become.
In this dreamscape of forms and phantoms, viewers are invited to confront their own nature, instincts, and relationships with the beings—both real and surreal—that share our world.
