Artist Statement

Wood deserves a second chance. Once a tree is harvested, the human hand and a few basic tools can give it new life as a functional work of art, or just an eye-opening abstract exploration of the grain, color, and adaptability of nature's original creation. Wood is much more flexible than the shapes usually seen in mass-produced products. And removing all chemical stains & tints reveals the original wood grains and colors, giving human designs a chance to shine long after the tree has lost its place in the sun.
