Artist Statement

My love for creating art started at a young age.After high school I enlisted in the U.S.Navy. Drawing was a way of unwinding while at sea.When I left military service I settled in the D.C.area.Initially my medium was pen and ink.Over time I added abstract acrylic paintings and assemblage .as alternate means of expressing my ideas. I love to create pieces that encourage the viewer to explore by creating layers and depth or by combining materials in unique ways.
