Anjanette Butler

Artist Statement

My name is Anjanette Butler. I have always been inspired to capture moments in nature. It brings me so much joy to finally share my journey and passion for photography. I worked as a wildlife biologist in Oregon and California. Some of my images in this exhibit are from moments when I was monitoring the Western snowy plover during their nesting season. My favorite places to be are enjoying a sunset on the beach and immersing myself in the forest. I am also on the autism spectrum. I discovered that being a photographer is my passion and I hope the images make you think about your surroundings when you venture to the beach the next time or take a walk in the forest.
