Artist Statement

I am inspired by nature, and my work tries to capture and translate its beauty and impact into a visual representation for others to experience. When I see something that moves me, I photograph it as the starting point for a painting. I am inspired by a diverse range of styles and influences, and I base my works primarily on local natural settings, using acrylic paint to build layers of color, texture, and depth.
