Artist Statement

I am a self-taught visual artist, having come from a choreography and dance career. I make my art out of unexpected materials and found objects. It is like treasure hunting. I discover artistic elements in my everyday life and then make something unique and unusual. I fill my life with making art - it is both my work and my play. For the most part, I give my art away as gifts, which I feel completes the circle of my artistic process.
