Artist Statement

As an artist, I am fascinated by what emerges when color, form, movement, and shape collide and begin speaking to one another. Painting and sculpting are not simply acts of making; they are acts of discovery.
I create from the space where the subconscious rises to the surface. Art allows me to step beyond learned patterns and inherited ways of being, moving toward a deeper acceptance of the self. Often the work reveals itself before I understand it. Meaning comes later.
I invite all emotions into the process. The work becomes a place where every part of myself can exist—the parts I embrace and the parts I struggle to see. In giving them space, something hidden is revealed. The act of creating becomes an excavation of consciousness, uncovering what has always been there, waiting to be known.
