Artist Statement

I have been interested in photography ever since I took all of the photo related classes my high school had to offer. I loved taking those classes, and I love taking photos of whatever interests me. I've decided to make it my passion in college and onwards. Most of my photos are of people. I am very much a people person, and I like interacting with them and taking their photo. Every person is different, and everyone has their own story to tell through their appearance. Some of my photos also relate to the furry fandom as well. I've been a part of that fandom for a long time, but decided to start taking photos of the fandom after I started going to different conventions. I thought I would take photos of the fandom that has been a huge part of my life for years and show my appreciation for them through my work. For these furry pictures, I decided to make lighting my main priority, as I feel like the suits really stick out once you shine a light onto it. Some of them were taking during raves and parties, so there's a lot of colorful lights all around the place. I decided to wait until the lights hit the suits perfectly so you can see a wide variety of different colors hit them, and you can see a lot of detail show up on their fur that you couldn't see before.
