Artist Statement

My passion is works on paper that focus on examining who we are as human beings, what we feel, what we do, and what is important to us. My creative thinking is influenced by the prints of Goya, Daumier and Cassat and the photography of Walker Evans, Robert Frank and Todd Webb. Working with my own photo resources, I explore narratives in series that can stimulate a conversation in the minds of viewers—or even generate actions by the observer—that can and will make a difference.
