Artist Statement

My passion is works on paper that focus on who we are as human beings — what we feel, what we do, and what we love to see. My creative thinking is influenced by the prints of Goya, Daumier and Cassat and the photography of Walker Evans, Robert Frank and Todd Webb. Working with my photo resources, I explore interpretations of what I see around me that can create wonder, stimulate a conversation in the minds of viewers, or possibly generate action by the observer that can and will make a difference.
