Artist Statement

Yvonne Nagy Brazel is a St. Louis based multimedia artist whose work blends structure, improvisation, and a sense of playful investigation. She works across drawing, printmaking, weaving, and mixed-media processes, often deconstructing her own work and rebuilding them as hand-woven paper weaving. Her practice is driven by curiosity. She uses repetition, color, and texture to explore how order and spontaneity coexist.
