Artist Statement

My work explores the concept of anticipation of the future or the unknown. With influences as diverse as Thomas Struth, Dorthea Lange, Elmer Bischoff, and Minor White, I have been exploring black and white infrared photography using family, environmental and social justice topics to tell my stories. Infrared images reveal a wavelength of light that is not visible to the human eye but can be captured by the camera and printed.
