SHEA WHITE

Artist Statement

Shea White is a contemporary artist who makes vibrant watercolor and mixed media paintings celebrating a variety of subjects. Born in southeastern Washington, Shea spent her childhood exploring on the family farm. If she wasn’t riding her pony through the fields, she was riding shotgun with her father on the way to the Blue Mountains, mules in tow, and a Louis L’Amour tape in the tape deck.

Her career began in July of 2023 by picking up a paintbrush. Shea quickly found a home for her work in local shops and art fairs, and she gained a dedicated clientele who commissioned her work across mediums and for special occasions. In March of 2024, Shea’s first submission to a national juried gallery show was awarded an honorable mention out of 135 submissions. She is looking forward to growing as an artist and continuing to bring dynamic works into her community.
