Artist Statement

In 2020 I retired after many years teaching elementary art. I now have more time to pursue my artwork. In the past my favored mediums were drawing, painting and photography. Compositional elements of line, shape and color have always been important as well as subject matter. My work tends to be small. Recently I started working on decorative plastic bugs with jewels, paint and glitter. I hope the bugs bring joy to others as they do me.
