Artist Statement

I have always been mesmerized by colors, textures and light. I love the way they can evoke emotion, creating energy and intrigue. I enjoy watching how light can dances over the cracks in a colored wall, highlighting the imperfections in our world in the most beautiful way. In working with concrete I have found a medium that can have both an industrial and a whimsical feel. It can be both strong and imperfect with interesting textural qualities that can be molded into many forms. I learned to incorporate both colorful pigments and crystals into the material to create truly unique art pieces full of energy and wonder.
