Artist Statement

My paintings and ceramics are an inventory of past childhood memories, glimpses and fragments of short interactions with nature that left lasting impressions. I explore the strange wonder of seeing beyond the veil that separates people from the wildness of animals and natural places, spaces we often no longer tread.
