Artist Statement
Capturing a day at the shore and thinking about how a place can hold both memory and possibility. The faded ink and softened edges of the postcards and maps feel like echoes of summers past. I added a shorebird and grass to connect the present to the past. The bird and grass are created with papers printed in acrylic on a gel plate, which are paired with vintage Nantucket images.
