Artist Statement

My paintings are seen as cartoonish, humorous and garish - which is true. My work is also conceptual, figurative and a tad bit surrealistic. Think Rene Magritte + Walt Disney + Otto Dix. My paintings reflect my perspective on our temporal world - identifying the absurdity of life, while attempting to do so without pretense. I have a diverse body of work however themes emerge and humor is ever present and a driving force in my paintings.
